Call +44 (0)330 024 3200 and discover how we can help you.

From our roots in Beds and Herts, we have expanded across the region and now have offices in London, Milton Keynes and Watford. Our clients include individuals and businesses ranging from small family enterprises to large international companies.

Hillier Hopkins began life in 1933 as Lewis Hillier & Co accountants in Luton, expanding into Hemel Hempstead soon after. Founder John Hillier was joined by Len Hopkins and the firm became Hillier Hopkins & Co. Since then, we have continued to expand thanks to the wonderful people throughout our firm’s history who have shaped its growth and development.

Over the years Hillier Hopkins has trained hundreds of qualified accountants and advised many thousands of individuals, sole traders, partnerships and companies including PLCs and financial institutions. We have a long history of supporting local causes and dedicating time and expertise to local community bodies and professional associations.

Although the firm’s founders have sadly passed away, their legacy lives on in our “friendly expertise” ethos and our commitment to remaining independent and maintaining the highest possible technical, ethical and professional standards.

Alex Bottom - Managing Prinicipal for Hillier Hopkins

Alex Bottom, Managing Principal

“Over the years, Hillier Hopkins has expanded steadily in size and geographic reach to become one of the region’s leading independent firms. We are very fortunate  in that throughout our growth we have been able to attract a hugely talented team who continue to deliver our ethos of “friendly expertise”. Our focus is on preserving this ethos and working hard to ensure that our clients prosper above all else.

It’s important to us to support the communities we work in and the world we live in. We have a growing commitment to the UNs Sustainable Development Goals and are working on an environmental policy and initiative to reduce our environmental impact on the world.”

"Nothing is too much trouble"

"I have the best relationship I have ever had with an auditing company - the team are professional but they are incredibly friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble and they are so supportive. Wayne Arrowsmith is superb, he works relentlessly to ensure the audit goes smoothly, and he offers a calming and reassuring voice."
Rich King

"Conscientious and dedicated"

"Hillier Hopkins provide an excellent service. I have always found them to be responsive, conscientious and extremely dedicated."
Javid Khan

"A genuine friend of the business."

"They maintain a very high level of client service which, at a professional level, have made them a trusted adviser and on a personal level, a genuine friend of the business."
RPM London

"Invaluable practical advice"

"We have worked with Meeten Nathwani at Hillier Hopkins for over seven years and, as a small business, have found his responsiveness and good, practical advice invaluable. The experience has been in marked contrast to other professional advisers who tended rather to 'sit on the fence' and outline alternatives rather than then advising on the right course of action."
Keith Evans

"Open and reactive relationship"

"The compliance and reporting support is built around an open and reactive relationship with the directors and accounting team."
Antal International

90 years looking after our world

We have a long tradition of supporting our communities and the world we all inhabit. We continue to implement new measures to decrease our environmental impact. The Principals have adopted an Environmental Policy and our sustainability team of volunteers across the firm have been working hard to implement its recommendations.

We are proud to support local charities and causes through a number of different events. For the past few years we have been supporting The Pepper Foundation, a small charity which aims to alleviate the suffering of children diagnosed with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses by funding children’s hospice at home nursing care in Bucks and Herts, and have raised over £17,000 for the charity.

We also held a Lands End to John o’Groats challenge to raise £12,231 for the Cancer Care & Haematology Fund.

We take part in charity days such as Macmillan Coffee Morning and Christmas Jumper Day.

Through sponsorship and donations we support a number of local sports clubs and initiatives.

These include Tabard Rugby Club, Aylesbury Dynamos youth football, Hemel Hempstead Cricket Club, The Lord’s Taverners Ouse Valley Christmas Lunch, Willen Hospice,  The Hospice of St Francis and more.

The firm supports staff undertaking voluntary work and has organised a number of volunteering teams to help local causes. Teams of staff have been involved in litter picks, tree planting and other activities to support local organisations.

Our volunteering policy allows all of our staff one day per year to participate in volunteering opportunities of their choice.
