A recent survey from the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) suggests that Making Tax Digital has not been the success that HMRC had claimed. A significant proportion of respondents reported that MTD has not reduced errors, has cost more, has not saved time, nor has it increased productivity.

The full results and press release are available here.
