Congratulations to the Hillier Hopkins football team for winning the Champions League section of the Business Fives charity tournament in Luton on Tuesday 18 February.
The team defeated Leonardo in a very close final to win a £350 donation for the Hospice of St Francis (in memory of our former colleague, Neil Cundale).
The win gives the team an invitation to play in the Business Fives first ever All-Britain National Final in Leeds on Friday 25 April 2025.
Huge well done to all the individual award winners – Biyondi Thapa was the Player of the Match in the Champions League Final, Sam Doolan took home the Golden Boot with an impressive 14 goals and team Captain, Sam Hodson won the Golden Glove, conceding only 5 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets throughout the day.
Team Captain Sam Hodson said, “Having come close in previous tournaments run by Business Fives, everyone pulled together and put in a great effort. We had some tough matches against some great teams and are so pleased to have won.”
