Our Charity Lunch in support of The Oli Mills Foundation to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust is now fully booked. You can still get involved and support this fabulous charity by donating auction and raffle prizes for our lunch.
The lunch takes place on Friday 10th May at Watford Football Club at Vicarage Road stadium with around 200 local business people attending, and will include a champagne reception, three course lunch, raffle and charity auction. We are delighted to have Russ Williams returning as our MC and also to have Adam Bloom join us as our comedian.
The Oli Mills Foundation (OMF) is a collection of friends, family, businesses, schools and sports clubs who have come together to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of St Albans lad, Oli Mills, who died of a brain tumour just 18 years old in 2005. Since 2016, they have raised £144,000, bringing their overall total to £255,000. This year money has been raised for the Education & Awareness appeal and specifically the ‘Mates Matter’ campaign – a crucial initiative that sees friends and teachers of teenage cancer patients educated on their treatment journey, so they are best placed to support.
The OMF aims to raise £1 million for Teenage Cancer Trust as they continue to raise money and awareness for such a great cause. With only 1 in 2 teenagers with cancer currently able to access Teenage Cancer Trust services, there is still a huge amount of work to be done.
The main fundraising at this event comes through the auction and raffle and we are looking for donations of high value items such as event tickets, golf days, hotel breaks and experience days to auction off and try to raise as much money as possible for this incredibly worthy cause. We would acknowledge your business in our event programme and on social media posts throughout the event.
