We would like to wholeheartedly thank our clients, friends and colleagues for their incredible generosity which helped us to raise more than £14,000 for Ali’s Dream at our annual charity lunch on Friday 11th May. The charity was only £11,000 away from raising £1m since their inception and reached their goal during the event.
Guests were entertained at Watford Football club by MC and auctioneer Russ Williams and comedian Adger Brown. Julie Phelan and Sue Farrington Smith from Ali’s Dream gave an emotional account of losing Julie’s daughter to a brain tumour just before her 8th birthday and the subsequent work they have done to boost funding for childhood brain tumour research.
Alex Bottom, a Principal at Hillier Hopkins said, “We are over the moon to have been able to help Ali’s Dream reach their £1m goal, and are incredibly grateful to everyone at the lunch and those who couldn’t attend but sent donations.”
The firm also acknowledges that without the support of its clients and other local businesses who donated auction and raffle items, it would not have been possible to raise this much for Ali’s Dream.
A huge thank you from everyone at Hillier Hopkins.
Ali’s Dream
All of us who attended the event were overwhelmed with the support and encouragement we received. It really was a fantastic day and so fitting that our million pound milestone was reached there.
Rest assured that every penny will go towards research and helping fight the awfulness that brain tumours are. Please accept our grateful thanks, we are so grateful for the support and boost you have given to our charity.
We had a wonderful time and hold lovely memories. Again our grateful thanks, our Ali will be looking down with pride on you all!
