We are delighted to announce the promotions of Sam Hodson and Matt McParland to Principal. The promotions follow a period of sustained growth.
The firm now has 19 principals (or partners) and 232 staff across its offices in London, Watford and Milton Keynes.
Sam Hodson is one of Hillier Hopkins’ home-grown talents. Having joined the firm in 2011, he now becomes a Principal in the firm’s Audit team continuing to work with his portfolio of owner-managed businesses, FCA-regulated firms, academies and golf clubs. As part of his work with golf clubs, he leads the firm’s annual survey of Members and Proprietary Golf Clubs across the UK.
Matt McParland is a Principal in the firm’s four-strong Finance team. He rejoined the firm in 2022 as its finance director having previously worked at the firm as an audit manager between 2001 and 2006. His promotion is in recognition of the strategic role he plays in managing the growth of the firm.
Hillier Hopkins has achieved organic growth of 11% in the last year and successfully integrated three mergers with Minney & Co, Colin Gray & Co and Priority Payroll Services in the last 12 months.

I was excited to return to the firm in 2022 as its finance director and thrilled with this promotion, which recognises the strategic role I play.”
