The Firm

Satis Tax is a boutique US/UK tax services firm with 8-10 employees working out of their Pall Mall office. The team is led by Ross Badger who co-founded Satis Tax and Satis Asset Management in 2012.

Satis is one of the few firms to be able to provide specialist wealth and tax planning advice and services to Americans living in the UK.

Vacancy details

This is a dual handling US/UK tax role, principally based at our London office.

The role will provide an opportunity to work on a wide-ranging portfolio of clients and to have active
involvement in identifying planning opportunities and providing advice.

The duties will include:

  • Actively managing a client portfolio to ensure US & UK personal tax compliance requirements
    are filed timely and accurately.
  • Reviewing work prepared by juniors and signing out tax returns for submission to the tax
    authorities.
  • Identifying and communicating potential risks and technical matters.
  • Developing junior members of the team.
  • Identifying business development opportunities.
  • Fee responsibility, managing the finance of an engagement.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum of six years of experience in US/UK private client work, with experience in dealing
    with High-Net-Worth (HNW) individuals.
  • Qualified Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA qualified.
  • Qualified member of Association Tax Technicians (ATT), CTA will be beneficial but not
    essential.
  • Experience with CCH Axcess or CCH Prosystem.
  • Be competent with Microsoft computerised packages.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable in balancing workload and delegating efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.

Employment details

  • Remuneration will be dependent on experience.

The package will include:

  • Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme all staff are auto enrolled. (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%) subject to eligibility.
  • Annual Christmas Bonus equivalent to 1 week’s salary.
  • Discretionary annual Summer Bonus.
  • Potential commissions on referral of new work.
  • Private Medical Insurance following completion of a 3-month probationary period (this is a taxable benefit).
  • Death In Service scheme cover (4x salary).
  • Group Income Protection Scheme (non-contributory) following completion of a 3 month probationary period.
  • Annual Leave will be 25 days per annum (pro-rata), 3 days are normally taken at Christmas/New Year.
